Hello, and welcome to my website!  My name is Julie Rogers, and I am Cook High School's ESOL teacher.  I teach students who speak English as a second language and collaborate with their content teachers to ensure their academic success.  My background is in English/Language Arts.  After graduating from Lowndes High School in 1998, I continued my education at Valdosta State University, earning a B.S.Ed. in Secondary Education English. In 2005, I completed my M.S.Ed. in Post Secondary Education Instructional Technology from Troy State University. I have both Early Childhood and Secondary Education certifications and  taught English/language arts at Cook High School for 7 years.  I completed my ESOL endorsement with Northwest RESA in 2010, and now serve our school's English Language Learners.

I stay involved at CHS by serving in numerous capacities.  I have coached cheerleading, taught both summer school and credit recovery after school, served on the Leadership Team, co-sponsored the Student Leadership Team, represented CHS on Cook County's Educational Committee, and worked closely with our Graduation Coach and Family Connections.  I also currently chair the Homecoming Committee.

I have two wonderful children, Cole and Caleb, who both attend school in the Cook County School system.  We are proud Hornet supporters and enjoy attending CHS sporting events, especially baseball!
