Seniors

Seniors, sign up to fill out your FAFSA! 
 
The Georgia Student Finance Commission representative will be here on May 6th from  8:00 am-12:00 pm. This is the last time to make an appointment for this school year. Make your appointment by emailing Mrs. Braye or calling the school. 

Softball

4/26 - 5/5

Softball tryouts will be held May 10 - 14.  If you are interested in trying out, please stop by room 209 and see Coach Williams to sign up.  All students trying out must have a physical that is up to date and all of their paperwork completed.  Please see Coach Williams anytime before 3rd block by May 5th.  

Theatre

4/23 - 4/29

Little Women, the Broadway Musical opens Thursday, April 29th and runs through Saturday, May 1st at 7 pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students, and can be purchased online at MySchoolBucks or at the door. Faculty and staff are free. Box office will open at 6:30 each night. 

Debate Club

4/22 - 4/28

Do you like to argue? Do you like to talk?  If so, speech and debate is for you. There will be a meeting for anyone interested in ing speech and debate club next year Wednesday, April 28th in room 112 at the beginning of second block.

Media Center

4/21 - 5/3

Attention students all library books are due back by May 3rd failure to return these books will result in fines placed in PowerSchool. Fines in PowerSchool must be paid prior to graduation. If you return these books or any books from the middle school all fees and fines will be waived from your account. For any questions please see Mrs. Tolman in the media center. 

Volleyball

4/19 - 5/10

Volleyball tryouts will be held May 12 and May 13.  If you are interested in trying out please stop by Coach Debbie Kelley's room and sign up.  All students trying out must have a physical that is up to date and all of their paperwork completed.  Please see Coach Kelley by May 10.  

Attention! All girls who signed up for volleyball tryouts with Coach Kelley need to go by her room (218) BEFORE the week of tryouts and pick up an evaluation form. This form needs to be reviewed with your parents, signed, and brought with you to tryouts.

Blood Drive

Last blood drive of the school year will be May 14th in RM 411, please see Mrs. Weaver to sign up.

PowerPuff

4/13 - 4/27

The annual Jr vs Sr Powderpuff Football game is April 27 at 6 pm. ALL CHS FACULTY/STAFF AND STUDENTS get in FREE!!! Admission is $2 for anyone else. Concessions, Door Prizes, and Spirit Gear will be available and you don’t want to miss the halftime show performance by the Powderpuff Cheer Squad!!! 

WORK-BASED LEARNING

 

Any junior or senior who wishes to earn money while earning credit at Cook High School needs to apply for the WBL program for next semester. The application can be found at the bottom of the CHS website. Click on the WBL icon or stop by Room 111 and speak with Mrs. Pitts. CPC SCHOLARSHIPS Please see the poster and flyers in the hall and stop by the CPC to find out about new scholarships that are available.
